Paris is transformed into Olympic Park in the perspective of the Olympic Games 2024
The heart of Paris will transform, on June 23 and 24, into a gigantic sports field to celebrate Olympic Day. An event that will be under the sign of the candidacy of Paris 2024.
Discover as many Olympic and Paralympic sports as possible, accessible to all ages, regardless of skills, including rare or difficult to access practices. A well-defined objective for this exceptional event, accompanied by unusual or prestigious meetings with athletes, workshops of manual or cultural work, sports demonstrations, etc.
More than 30 disciplines will be discovered, in the heart of the Rives de Seine Park and in emblematic places of the capital: the Alexandre III bridge, the Pont des Invalides, the Petit Palais, the Place de la Concorde, or the Pavillon de Arsenal: "On 23 and 24 June, Paris will transform itself into a gigantic sports ground and a real space for celebrating the values of Olympism, in a spirit of celebration and joy. Six large areas of activity to move, learn and discover all the Olympic and Paralympic disciplines will be developed in the heart of the city and accessible to all Parisians, Parisians and tourists.
Friday - for the first day - a kayak trip will start from the Stade de France, during which 150 to 300 kayakers will be led by Tony Estanguet, co-president of Paris 2024 and triple Olympic champion of canoe, until the track of floating athletics Saturday, thousands of professional and amateur athletes will gather for the "2024 km of Paris", a course involving cyclists Place de la Concorde (527 km), riders from Versailles (20 km) and runners from all over Paris (1,477 km). All will converge to the Invalides for finale show.
