Once a month, cars are forbidden on the Avenue des Champs-Elysées. The next session is Sunday, January 5, 2020 where cars will be forbidden from circulation from 10am to 6pm. You can stroll in the middle of the most beautiful avenue in the world and take beautiful breathtaking photos from the top of the Arc de Triomphe.
With this car-free day, which is the first of the year, Paris City Hall hopes to reduce emissions of fine particles. An ecological initiative that has spread, since October 2018, to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th arrondissements of Paris.
Every 1st Sunday of the month, some museums in Paris also open their doors for free, an opportunity to visit and see the exhibitions.
